Intro
Sloppypilot is the digital media studio of Sumner Nelson, located just north of Chicago in Winnetka, Illinois. The studio specializes in:

- Licensing of proprietary image reproductions,

Image Restoration
Worn, torn, and abused photos become more precious as generations pass and the few remaining images deteriorate or are lost. To recover, reinforce and sustain these images into the next several centuries, Sloppypilot will;
- perform fine quality image scanning to capture the best rendering,
- apply digital restoration techniques to return a set of images to their best possible appearance,
- reprint the images with archival quality paper and ink,
- provide long-term memory information to the images through the use of metatags,
- present images in attractive secure bindings,
- and save digital backup to archive-stable media.

Image Catalog
- In conjunction with BeatriceTonnesen.com, Sloppypilot catalogs and licenses the largest catalog of Beatrice Tonnesen images available.
- American History Prints is a catalog of text material and fine quality etchings reproduced from Scribner’s History of the United States, From Early Times to the Present, published in 1879. Image catagories are; landscape, action, portrait, architecture, map, and signature.
- All images have been reproduced and enhanced with high quality digital technology. These copyright protected reproductions are available under licensing agreement for greeting cards, post cards, calenders, and other applications. Small quantities of fine art reproductions are available in sizes up to 11×17 inches.
Standards Based Websites
Sloppypilot uses the Wordpress publishing platform and web standards XHTML/CSS to design and build simple, useable, and attractive interfaces that account for speed, file size, readability and accessibility. Sloppypilot will do:
- new site development - for a new company, or a new look for an existing company, implementing either a Wordpress application, or an original design.
- web site redesign - to move your existing site to a Wordpress or original XHTML/CSS-based layout,
- markup and style optimization - simplify existing code to improve speed, lower costs, and make your site more structurally sound.

Media Transfer / Edit /Archive
Over the years, image, audio, and video media has been preserved in many formats, from silver and vinyl, to analog, and to numerous digital formats. For reasons of commerce, research, or pleasure, it can be desirable to consolidate these media into one consistent, edited, organized, and viewable archived file.
- Sloppypilot can perform most of the necessary file transfers and edits, and will sub-contract particularly troublesome technologies to specialists. Media can be prepared and distributed as any web delivery format, podcast, CD, or DVD.
Project Participant
Sloppypilot is available for temporary project participation for writing, editing, & simple-styled explanations of complex ideas.
